Oulton Park Gold Cup

talking a few options through last night at a combined Peugeot meet about what we can set up for the remainder of the year and the Gold Cup at Oulton Park came up. I've been before over the August Bank Holiday as a paying cutomer and it is a superb week-end of classic and vintage rallying/racing.

Just wondered if anyone has any contacts regarding maybe getting a club stand at this event? If too late for this year then definately next.

I'm going to be putting the Elise on the CLOG stand, however, if it was going to be possible, I'd try to get the Rallye down to support a Peugeot stand as well. I'll see if I can get the contact for you. You're right - it's a great event at a great circuit. Let's hope we don't get a repeat of last year's rain.

Do they have club stands?

It is a very good event though and I will most probably be going again this year. It always amazes me how much the drivers race and go as fast as they can even though most of the cars are priceless and if damaged, you can't just buy a new part, it has to be made specifically for the cars. I have a lot of respect for these guys.

Most of the infield above Cascades is club stands. I'll get a photo up later to try and illustrate. It is one of my favourie historic events of the year, just a shame GP Masters no longer takes place there - nothing like the timbre of a DFV echoing across the parkland.

i know where you mean, just near the fogarty moss centre? yes, i see. I thought the OP meant with gazebos and stuff, but yes, a collection of similar cars.

As above, I've already got the Elise booked in but my old man might be up for putting his car on a PH club stand - he did the same at CPoP last year. I'll send you the contact details if I'm able to obtain them, Slomax. Get organising!
