Hi. Dream Rides are done by Sporting Bears. You can’t miss the area they leave from and the stand to chose cars and pay is right next to it. Last year Mike Brewer & Ed China had a stage right next to the Dream Ride area.

Costs vary depending on the car you pick, some may be £30 or less, whereas some really rare/exotic ones may be nearer £100 or more. As long as you can be safely strapped into a seat, any age is ok, although you’ll need parents’ permission if you’re under 18.

The rides are probably 10 to 15 miles long and last 20 - 25 minutes. None of the drivers or helpers are paid for time or fuel etc, so all the money donated goes straight to worthwhile causes.

Have a look at the Sporting Bears website for more detail.

Cheers. Andy

Cheers for that Andy (only just saying on another Forum how Ultimas are popular and we need them, cheers)

Jack
rides are fixed donations per car (whether 1 passenger seat or 3) and normally start at £10 rising to £70 depending on car (£100 would be unusual but has been for very popular rare cars like XK220 where the number of rides is very limited)

As Andy says rides are around 10 miles (depends how lost some get) going outside the NEC complex on the Queen's highway

see here for details - Sporting Bears Dream Rides

ETA:
We cannot allow SBDRs to any children under the age of 6 as we do not have suitable seating available

Any child between the age of 6 and 12 and under the height of 135cm will have to use the approved booster seats provided by the club

I ran my T350 last year at £20 and had a lot of takers as I also hope to do this year.
As for children - IIRC its up to the driver if they want to take minors.

No chance... i) unlikely to be a Veyron there and ii) that would be about £100 for a ride. Keep saving or just go to the show and look... Do a search in teh archives for Sporting Bears to get an idea of what they do.

Here you go, fill your boots

I have no idea on the donation required for each car.

Suggest you use the search facility and look for "sporting bears"

Jack take it from us oldies don't be in too much of a hurry to grow up

Yes at 14 you are a child but a lot of drivers will take you out in their cars just look at the car details on the board when you are there, note the car number, the price and ask at the desk when it is available and if the driver accepts a 14 year old

You must have your parent or guardian there with you to book the ride

For others info:
A child in accordance with the Children Act 1989 is defined as anyone under the age of 18 years.
