0-60 CHALLENGE

Fancy pitting your car against the clock?

York Raceway and the Pennine Drag Racing Club are finalising detail for their 0-60 Challenge to be staged on 9th May.

There will be trophies awarded for: Quickest Overall, Quickest V8, Quickest normally aspirated V8, Quickest 6-cylinder, quickest 4-cylinder.

There will also be categories for quickest and fastest 1/4 mile passes on the day - since all the timing equipment will be running. Each lane at the track at York Raceway has a shell grip surface to launch from as well as a conventional smooth surface – it’s the competitor’s choice.

Anyone who would still like to compete should email howardholmes@btinternet.com as soon as possible.

If you have just got hard wearing road tyres on i would personaly use the grip strips next to the central barriers but i think you will find the best grip from practice. We dont stand a chance when there is going to be cars doing it in the 2 second bracket but it is just a fun day for everyone to enjoy. see you all there in a orange and yellow jeep. Hope to meet a few PH ers.
