The Wessex region of the Ferrari Owners Club is organising for the second year running together with The Concorde Jazz Club in Eastleigh near Southampton a charity car show, called 'Concorde Classics' on Sunday 5th September 2010.

  • All profits raised by the show will go to Naomi House. Naomi House is a Children's Hospice near Winchester in Hampshire** .

If you are interested in displaying your car at our show then we are keen to hear from you. It costs nothing to display your car, all we ask is that you are available to be at the show between 9:30am and 4:00pm, as the site is closed to vehicular movements during these times.

The show will be held in the wonderful and peaceful grounds of The Concorde Jazz Club, Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh, Near Southampton in Hampshire.

Last year, being our first year, was a great success with over 120 cars on display from Ferraris to Morris Minors, and over 2000 visitors. We raised nearly £2000, and the money went to a local Children's Cancer Unit. Those displaying their cars had a great day and loved the show ground.

This year the show will be far bigger, better and with many attractions like:

  • Michael Schumacher's Benetton F1 car, which he won a world championship in, and has starred at Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car will start up through out the day to thrill the crowds.
  • F1 Driver Experience simulator in a full size F1 car
  • A live Jazz band will be playing and wandering around the cars to give a fitting atmosphere
  • Classic cars of all ages
  • Sports Cars
  • Supercars including over 20 Ferrari's, from the sixth ever road going Ferrari built, right up to the new 458 Italia
  • Large Barbeque and food stands
  • Various car themed trade stands
and much much more!!!!

For more information on the show, attractions, set up and photographs from last years event why not visit our web site at: www.concordeclassics.co.uk

Spaces are limited so please register your cars early to guarantee a spot. Its a great opportunity to get the car out, enjoy talking to like minded people and raise money for a worthy cause. You can register via web site or e-mail Rob Heard at wessexfoc@tiscali.co.uk

This is going to be a really big event for classic cars and include some four or five ORIGINAL Ford GT40's.

Come on PH'ers, its only a couple of quid and proceeds go to Naomi house children's hospice.

It was a great day with some fantastic machinery there. Lovely to meet Ian with the Hyabusa-powered car which was awesome and the Lancia crowd and many other lovely folk. Hopefully many thousands of pounds were raised for the Naomi House Hospice. I'll post how much when they update their website.

I'd just like to say a huge thank you to all those who turned up even though the weather was a bit wet at times!
Just a great day and a few photos here - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=257143&i...
It looks like we raised £3200 for Naomi House so will aim to better that target next year - hope you can all come along to that too.
Again, many thanks for attending!!!

3rd post then!! Yes it was £3,200 raised with over 2,000 visitors according to the email I got from the organisers earlier today. I didn't hear what car won the car of the day but it may have been the black Mustang with the green stripes? My favourite was Ian's Hyabusa engined car.
