David, out of interest whats the best 0-60 and 0-100mph time you've managed in your car ?

Off the top of my head, I think 3.1s 0-60 and 6.9 0-100.

I matched the 0-100 on Saturday, but best 0-60 I recorded was 3.3s. Not bad figures considering the conditions, I think.

David, those are excellent figures. I did one run to 100 at 6.27 seconds on Saturday and that was with a slow 0.5s change from 1st to 2nd (normally around 0.2s) but did manage 2nd to 3rd in 0.15 seconds shift at least. The conditions were good in some respects but not in the first 60mph. Ken

Hang on, you mean you need to change gear with your hands? How quaint! wink
6.27s to 100 on that cold damp concrete is very impressive. Wait until you get it onto warm tarmac...

No it is a tip with paddles. But because of the surface I was shifting early to try and keep traction and to keep it straight. I just messed up the 1st to 2nd hence why it took so long to shift.

Great write up david, i am only 4mph off you and i cant wait to do stage 2 ECUTEK and compare it to you. thats gunna be 675bhp at 1.25bar so closer to your 612bhp.

will you be coming next year? in Purplezilla or the new Blue GTR?

Did you mean 615hp? 675hp would be way beyond the safe rating for standard turbos.
Depending on when Vmax is next year, will probably be in BlueZilla.

BTW, you keep saying "only 4mph", ask any regular Vmaxxer, that is a lot... wink

I've added another 3 vids to the article featuring Purple Zilla vs:

The tuned RS6 (was that the 711hp one?)
997 GT2
997 GT3 RS (superb launching fella!)

777PS, WTF?! Was it running that spec at VMax? Shirley not, or it would have trapped faster still.
Whatever, awesome numbers. Care to summarise what needs to be done to get to that level? Not that much with a 5.2 V10 starting point I guess!

The GT3 RS was being launched very carefully by the owner & with barely any rev's and on that run barely cracked 5s to 60mph.

The car had a LOT more to give at launch by a less sympathetic driver.

Same spec as @ VMAX. The dyno day was extremely cold so I can only assume previous dyno's the heat had limited the power recorded.

Milltek exhaust, MRC Tuning map and air filters. Awesome car smile

That's funny be oh so truesmile

Have run a few of my previous motors at Brunters & 181MPH is my best to date through the traps, first time was in a modified C5 RS6 & then the same speed in my DMS E60 M5.

Can't wait to get my GT-R down the straight, although i'll be a few BHP behind Dave in Purple so not sure what she'll crack & chances are you'll be in the new one so will be interesting to see the differences.
