Nice! Where was the rest of the vid? You must have got a good view of my car as it disappeared into the distance...
You're right, with a 100kg passenger, Purple Zilla would have taken a lot longer to overhaul the Turbo S. It was the closest race I had all day.

If you watch my vid, you will see your mate had a fractionally better reaction time than me though.

I was lucky enough to have a go in the turbo s on the big day, for a standard out of the box car do they get any better?
The way it got off the line left me gobsmacked ! Its not often im lost for words but it made my 525ps rs4 seem slugish!!!
What would a tuned one do ?

I video'd it from a bit futher down the runway and indeed the tts got a microsecond's jump... fact is tho that the tts definitely launched better as it put well over a car length on you until your extra 100hp odd caught up after circa 10secs i.e. at 120mph ish... I'd consider that a moral victory to the porsche... tho some may accuse me of being biased

FYI, there was another Porsche turbo there that day that would have been a disappearing spec in your windshield from any speed, altho I'm sure you already noted that a simple flash and exhaust 996tt breached 200mph on the day.

The fact these 2 cars are even being compared is massive praise in itself to the GT-R

I'd have no issue being beaten by a car twice the price of mine & with such a pedigree. Good job you were in a Turbo S.
