Anyone going to the classic car meet ???

I plan to go - just as a spectator though. No classic in the fleet. I hope all those 'modern' boring Mercs aren't there again this year and the space is set aside for decent stuff.

Normal plan is ACE Cafe around 9:00 for Breakfast and then on to Brooklands

Me and my dad are going to brooklands on the 1st aswell, Is there anyone else going from the Ace Cafe???

just checked the ACE Cafe site and seems they won't be open until 10:00 this year so will just go straight to Brooklands. They do have a cafe there.

Just got back, was ok, the drissly weather must have put a few people off. Still, nice to start the new year with some classics! Loved the Plymouth Roadrunner, Lancia Fulvia rally replica, BRG Lightweight E-Type and the MAHOOOSIVE 'rat look' Buick!

Some interesting vehicles but I felt it lacked some of the atmosphere of last year (could have been the weather) plus it's the first time I've been and not seen anybody I know. I agree that the mix of cars wasn't quite up to the numbers as last year but I shot 400+ pics on my D300. Judging by the lack of people in some of your pics you must have been very early I got there at 10.30 and pushed off just after one o'clock when it started to drizzle. I missed that lemon pick-up so full marks for that one! As I look through my photos later, I caught just a small fraction of that pick-up (mostly obscured by the crowds) when I was concentrating on shooting an approaching AMG SLS and then hurrying back to a pre arranged meet with a pal at the Clubhouse. That'll teach me!
