My First Big Spin

Hey everyone heading off tomorrow on my first long trip in my new car (MK3.5 MX-5) had a few short hoons but this is my first big trip and was looking to get some good tips on roads over here in Ireland. Heres my proposed route :

Have to go to Belfast first to lift the woman at the airport so Belfast to Clare is the trip! All help or thoughts is appriciated. Will hopefully get a few photos if theres anything on the way although i think it gives it to piss all weekend

My first big spin was in a Formula Ford after the left hander that puts you straight across the hill on the short circuit at Barbagallo Raceway.

It happened in slow motion really and I ended up about 10m into the sand. What I hadnt banked on was how much sand had made it into the cockpit. And therefore, how much would billow up under the helmet and into my eyes as I tried to brake for the final turn at the bottom of the hill. Lesson learnt.
Dont spin.
