Remparts de Angouleme any one going this year

We've just booked our crossing and camp site for this year and was just wondering if any one else ever attends this event.
We went to this in 2009 and thought it was great, we normaly do the Spa summer classic & 6hr but after going to them for the past 3 years decided it was time to nip back down to Angouleme for a change of scenery.

Thanks Bilko, nice videos especially the Morgan's on the parade lap! Not sure if we are going yet this year, hope we can make it as it's a great event.

Last time we were there, there were two modern Morgans and a 3 wheeled job staying on the camp site. the guy with the 3 wheeler was invited down to join in with the parade lap. He actually offered to let my wife have a drive of it on the roads out side the camp site, thank fully she said no but we did jump in it to have some pics taken and I think I can say without fear of contradiction that they defo wasn't designed with people of my size in mind, a tight squeeze to say the least.
The site we stay at is about 15 mins from the race and is run by Enlish peeps, it's got a little bar for eves and a nice fishing lake.

We'll be there, not been before so really looking forward to it.

Look out for a convoy of TVRs, we're staying in a large gite about 30km south of Angouleme & will be there for nearly two weeks.

When we were there in 2009 we were in our Purple Chim, this time it's gonna be in the wifes Mk3 MX5, Here's a few pics to bore you with.

Out side the B&B near le Mans on the drive down to Angouleme, had to go via this route so we could have a blast along the mulsanne.



We left Angouleme and drove straight over to Spa for the 6hr and ended up fixing the Chims starter in my mates pits at Spa, just a shame he didn't have a set of overalls that fitted me better lol. On the way to Spa we did a quick stop at Reims to take some pics at the pits of the old circuit



If you happen to see the number plate floating about down there give us a toot.
