Request: R35 GTR Owners

Hey guys, I hope someone can help me out.

I'm bringing a mate along with me who absolutely loves R35's. I was hoping someone might be kind enough to let him passenger a run or two so he can experience how they perform off the public road. If anyone could do that, you would really make his day.

I'm sure if you just ask on the day people will be more than happy, David Yu took my better half our in Godzilla last time and from my experience before people are more than happy to have passengers if there is a spare seat. It's actually one of the good things about VMax everyone seems very welcoming, that is unless they want to save on weight.

A mate of mine's got one and should be going. If he is, I'll make sure your friend gets a passenger ride.

As said though most particpiants are very accomodating, so don't be frightened of asking.

I seem to remember having a couple of runs with your mate last time I was up there Steve... We managed to boost the top end by 2mph by folding in the wing mirrors..

The other element of PAX rides is that most prefer passengers to chat to and 'show off' - I've been in some simply bonkers rides with the VMax regulars - David in PurpleZilla, Simon in the Murcie trying to race the Yellowbird, Smifffy racing Tiff in the P1 for once keeping it pinned and not sideways, and Davey in the Exige (nearly taking out the sand bollards in the process)...

Obviously, I'm trying to return the favours by happily taking people out for an experience of the MFunf...

Correct, splitters just get in the way of improving top speed!

I find them very comforting when I'm cruising along listening to my Carpenters CD's.

Actually plans are afoot to take out the drivers seat, just waiting a part from the USA then I've got a Sparco seat going in. Keeping the passenger side sport seat left in for practicality.

Neil, I take it the side window wipers are fully operative then?

realy looking forward to seeing/talking the r35 gtr owners... hopefully i can take one of you guys out in order to get a a passenger ride myself.

also i bench mark the gtr as THE performance car but from a stand still i WILL loose for sure, will a gtr owner be willing to start a run from 30mph with me, so i can get an idea of my cars performance against one of the cobb AP cars..... now i would REALLY appreciate that!!

Jez, I'll be searching out for you - having watched my spin on one of the VMax vids, followed by you having 'issues' getting third down, I need to see the diffence between yours and mine.

Oh and for the love of god, will someone get a video of me sideways in front of them properly this time?

Whereas others Know what aircraft engine is under the Monaro's bonnet and
Definitely will Not be asking for a pax ride.

ALSO was not keen on the Lack brakes you mentioned last VMax..
