The Cars in the park event is on at Newby Hall. For more information visit www.carsinthepark.org.uk

We already nearly have 100 cars signed up for the event.

Cars in the park is a casual gathering of sports/super cars. Its more of a social gathering of like minded car enthusiasts than a traditional car event. Cars range from TVR, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Renault, Lotus, Maserati, MX-5, Smart Roadsters, mini, hot hatch the list grows every time. It Brings together large and small car clubs as well as individuals. It doesn't matter if its new, old, kit or modified. The variety always keeps the event interesting. There are no CITP show and shines. Only ones run by the clubs. It's Held in a very nice family friendly location with lots of other things to do when you tire of cars!

You need to order online to get a discounted rate.

You print the ticket out yourself so there is nothing stopping you buying one the night before or even technically on the day, but due to running the event you can't get any technical help on the day, so its best to buy a couple of days before the event incase you need anything sorting out.

Pity about the showery/torrential/sunny/windy weather, but it didn't rain for too long.
Thanks for the good event, saw some cars I haven't seen for years (Lotus Sunbeam, Jensen Interceptor etc).

I managed to get a sneaky photo in front of the hall:

Harewood have a contracted caterer that you have to pay off if you want to put your own food stands in.
Last year we where lucky at harewood as the world food fair stayed on another day.

I ask newby a few days before about space required for a stand and they were not fussed.
I have had a number of food stands approach me, including a coffe car. Just didn't have the time to turn it round for this year. Will try to put things in place for next year.

Sorry to miss you Kevin, I took a few turns round the TVR section but I don't know many owners these days - I assume Trev wasn't there ? I'll certainly look out for you at Harewood.

Trev wasn't there as they are off to Italy today and will be doing a lot of driving and they wanted to get the car packed on Sunday.
