Monaco Grand Prix Tickets
Discussion
Hi all,
Right a few months ago I entered a competition to win a drive in Gumball 3000 all expenses paid. - I didn't win. But I did finish 4th which won me a couple tickets to a gumball vip party. I picked Barcelona on the 27th May. After a night in Barcelona the gumball head to monaco for the Monaco GP.
Me and my mate are planning on driving down to Barcelona in his BMW 335d and then to Monaco the same time as the gumballers.
So I need two tickets to the GP and also Sat and Sun nights in a hotel (probably Nice). Can anyone reccomend a good site for cheap packages. I realise 'cheap' and monaco don't really go hand in hand but the fact is I'm on a budget while try to do something a bit special.
Any ideas to help keep costs down would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

HI tfeb
Congrats on the win, sounds like great fun.
My company organise travel, viewing & hospitality to F1 races and specialise in Monaco. We are all but sold out on viewing & hospitality (yachts, terraces, etc.) but we do have a couple of rooms left in our 3* hotel in Nice which include return transfers to Monaco by private minivan, parking for your car and all of which you can have at cost price if that helps (doesn't do me any good to be left with empty rooms so if it covers our cost and helps you we both win). For viewing we have premium grandstand options which is grandstand seating in a reserved section with one of the F1 teams and includes an F1 'goodie bag' including items from the team and a Kangaroo TV unit to follow the race on plus some guests get a golden ticket in their bag and win a pit or garage tour. If that's of interest PM me and I'll send the details.
Alternatively tripadvisor will point you in the right direction for a hotel but be careful of any of the lastminute.com type sites which say hotels have availability, best to find a selection of hotels that work for you and contact them direct rather than reserve through a booking site only to find out later that the hotel doesn't actually have any rooms left.
The best place to by just grandstand tickets is direct from the Automobile Club de Monaco, click on www.acm.mc and follow their online ticketing option, it's a good site and you can click on the seats and different grandstands to see an example of the view and choose your specific seat from what is available. Don't buy just grandstand tickets from an agent or travel company like us unless they can add value such as transfers, reserved seating with a team packaged up with some extras etc., if an agent can't add value for you then buy grandstand tickets direct from the circuit - at any race!
If you decide to stay in Nice and leave the car there make sure your hotel has parking or there is parking nearby as the street parking can be a nightmare. You can get to Monaco from Nice really easily by train for about 15€ return and whatever you do avoid going into Monaco on a large coach - trying to get in and out of Monaco on a large coach is not nice, which is why we use a fleet of minivans.
If you just want to pick my brains about anything to do with Monaco don't hesitate, absolutely happy to help.
Good luck.

Ice booked a hotel and got some tickets now. As I said earlier I'm trying my best to do this on a budget and managed to do ok I think. Ended up with a hotel in Nice for £280 for Sat and Sun Night only and bought a couple of tickets in Rocher. - Yes I know its just a hill but unfortunatly tickets in the other low priced areas had sold out.
Anyways I'm massivly looking forward to it now and being there for the GP. Cant wait to rock up with the other gumballers.
Im going to follow the Gumball cars to Paris, Bacelona, Monaco & Venice.
I have bought a car and booked a hotel in Nice but not much else!
Anybody have any tips for the GP at the weekend?
Is it worth buying one of the cheap tickets or should I just find a large TV?
Anybody else up for this or fancy meeting up on the way down?
I do have a spare seat if anybody fancies it.

Thanks for that, although I didn't get in, as you need to set up an account for the site.http://www.clubscuderia.com/forum/showthread.php?t...
I managed to get a ticket in the T1 Grandstand for Sunday and also got lucky with booking hotels for the trip down.
If anybody fancies meeting up on the way down give me a shout.
