Right, can anyone outside of F1 beat this?

(We were trying to fix a car today, with 4 engineers, each needing 2 laptops, for a grand total of 8 being used simultaneously laugh )

Can't remember the last time i used a spanner on a car tbh............

You could always hit your TVR with a laptop?? best of both worlds?? ;-)

It was in fact a British car! (although, these days, a lot of the electronics h/w obviously comes from Europe)

It's a bit of a 'mare at the moment, because each of the systems on the car is from a different supplier, and all have different Cal/logging tool sets, hence the use of soooo many laptops.

Not unless you can get one with a large number of Ethernet and USB sockets!

We regularly log stuff at 10's and even 100's of kSPS, for which you need some serious data transmission / buffering, not to mention a large storage capacity. Modern Laptops are so dam powerful now, that just about all the cal tools are using 10Mbs ethernet for data linking.
