Hi all,

Any idea where I could order a PCV valve?

Thanks!

Nevermind the engine, it would need to open at the minimum possible pressure.

There is a slight possibility that I'm asking here as
a/ searching through the web didn't return satisyfing results (missing technical details on various PCV valves)
b/ there are probably people on here who might have interesting feedback on this subject

Am I being too optimistic?

No - you're not being specific enough with your question!!!

What exactly is it you're trying to find out about PCV valves?

"Positive Crankcase Ventilation" valves come in all sorts of flavours and ratings. You need to specify what sort of system you have and where you want the valve to be located and what it should do.

You best bet is to find one from an existing car that you can buy from a dealer easily.

(flow rates, deltaP, crank off pressure etc etc are all changable / different between valves)

The main requirement is that it should open at the minimum crankcase pressure possible.

That's effectively a 1-way valve then, not a PCV which has a crack pressure.

Although strictly speaking since a crankcase will always be slightly overpressure, a breather and catch tank is all you'll need.
