Rover 400 leaking

My Rover is leaking water from the back of the cylinder block,
I have to refill it every 2/3 days, otherwise it overheat's,
No mayonnaise, or gunk anywhere!!!!
Please help

Possibly thermostat housing which is plastic and known to crack.

Could it be the inlet manifold gasket , which is a common one too?

yes very,if it turns out to be the cause remove the ball bearing in the water passage on the offside of the intake manifold at the same time wink whatever you do dont let the engine run low on coolant or heat up as you will open a can of worms you dont need frown the K is not tolerant of overheating nerd
