Story so far:
4th April-Had the car serviced by local indi (provided oil, oil filter, and air filter (K&N) myself.
9th April-Car started pinking, thought initially that it was bad fuel as I had filled up at a cheap fuel station the day before.
Over the next few weeks I ran the car continuously on 97 Ron but the problem persisted.
13th May-Re-fitted the OEM filter, to no avail. The problem persisted.
25th May-Tanked the car up with 97 Ron and a can of BG44K. Again nothing changed.
6th June-Bought and fitted a new set of plugs (NGK IFR5N10 Iridium. Again nothing changed.
1st July-Took the car up to TorquingBHP near Cambridge. Took the car out for a run with the diagnostic computer connected and it registered 7 air leaks and a temperature sensor reading 61º when the car was fully warmed up. When we got back to the shop we could hear a faint hissing sound from around the supercharger area. On examination there was also a faint film on the top of the supercharger casing.
6th July-Took the car to the local indi to investigate. He found that the supercharger bellows had split and he replaced them. The car was still pinking.
14th July-Replaced the temperature sensor myself (britishparts.co.uk supplied item). Car continued to pink and now when I stop the engine, even after a short run the fans run on for 2 to 3 minutes.
29th July-Put the car into G&D motors. They found that the thermostat was not working and replaced it. The car continues to pink, but now the fans only run on when it’s really hot.
Please note - each time something was done I reset the ECU by disconnecting the ECU overnight.
Anyone got any suggestions please?

Thanks but a faulty knock sensor would throw up a light and a "restricted performance" message.

The ecu only checks the resistance of the knock sensor to make sure it's not an open loop, it also wants to hear a minimum amount of "noise" whenever the engines running but it doesn't have a way of actually testing it's ability to sense knock.

The DC resistance of all the knock sensors I have seen is effectively infinite since they are peizo based sensors.

Bleed the charge air cooling system.
