as the thread title suggests ive got a set of the fly by wire throttle bodies off of a Yamaha R6, that im planning on running on my 1.6 zetec se engine. im trying to seperate the two halves of the bodies to remove the throttle motor/actuator as im running a cable only and could do with out the restriction on the butterfly spindle. anyone ever done this as its not obvious to me as to how to seperate them and searches online seems to suggest that arent actually servicable.
cheers

no idea, but looking at some pics online suggests that using a hacksaw might be necessary to get rid of the motor and gearcase etc!

Personally, i'd just use the FBW bit, that way they stay totally std.
