What lubrication should I use?

I'm trying to fix a squeak in my steering, and have been recommended a fix as per this thread:

It's a US-based forum though, and you can't get 'Tri-Flow' cheaply here. Can anyone recommend something else which does the same in the UK?

Never heard of it. Probably just some white grease though, or silicone lube.

My concern is I don't want to ruin any parts that I'm putting the grease on (for example, there is some rubber it'll be spraying on to). I know some lubricants can perish rubber, but not sure what else I need to be aware of.

White grease is fine if you want a customer to see that you have worked on their vehicle, however it does very little lubricating due to its inability to penetrate deep enough

Unless it has changed over the last 25 years, Tri-flow is a petroleum based oil with PTFE. A quick search for "PTFE spray" on ebay produces several products.

Thank you both. I guess I could just pick up a can of this at Screwfix then? Seems cheap enough. Just want to make sure it won't ruin rubber/plastic inside the engine bay. Anyone know?

Any ideas anyone? Crucially, it mustn't cause problems with rubber in the engine bay (I.e. perishing) so I need a spray which is safe to use on rubbers.

Got a bottle of TriFlow here but it's a liquid squirty bottle type container, not a spray.
I've never seen it as a spray,always as the small bottle. I've also got a few more other bottles,
TufOil Lubit-8 and Loctite SuperLube and they all look pretty similar. The SuperLube is oil with
PTFE which looks like the same as what's in TriFlow.
