Engine Flush & Other Serviceable bits..

Evening,

I have just bought my first ever kit car, with one of the aims to improve my spannering abilities! Now as part of that i am looking to do a full service, inc oil, filters, belts etc.

Before i start ordering up parts can anyone reccomend a decent engine flush? And a good way of flushing the old coolant out.

BG Products - engine flush, coolant flush, etc, etc.
Fill your boots to buy yourself piece of mind, whether it strictly needs it or not.
Read about the benefits, and decide for yourself - no-one but you has a vested interest in your car and if it needs treatments to stave off or rectify problems.

yes take the thermostat out and remove the bottom hose then just flush with a garden hose both ways thru the rad/ block and heater, if you have oil from a failed
gasket or oil cooler you can put in some washing powder , run it without the stat fitted, then flush as above run with plain water for a few minuits then when you are happy its clean drain and refill with 50/50 water antifreeze... do not refil a hot engine with cold water !!!!
