Clutch for a Road/Track Pumesta...

Hi All,

Was hoping for a bit of advice on a new clutch for my car,

its a 2001 Zetec-S Fiesta with a Puma engine dropped in it, still running with the origional 1.6 Gearbox.

I need a new clutch for it, the puma engine is running at +155bhp and the engine is quite torquey (cant remember the figure off the top of my head been ages since it was on RR)

I still use the car as a daily driver so i dont want a savage heavy paddle clutch, but i want something a bit more substantial than the OEM clutch.

Any specific companys/manufacturers i should be looking at? any advice would be great

What's wrong with a standard Puma clutch then ? Is it actually making any more power than a standard engine ?

Standard puma is 123bhp and the standard clutch gets far too hot on trackdays, plus iv got more power lined up for it, was looking for something that can handle upto about 190bhp

They do... But I was looking for advice from experience, I don't want to end up with a left leg like arnie sitting on the a13 every morning, but also don't want it to get chewed to fk.

Was more looking to see if there was a specific one people tend to use tbh...

It's an engine not even making 200bhp. I really doubt that requires a monster of a clutch when a standard one works.

And I havent come across a clutch that heavy in years, whether for 100bhp or 1000bhp.

And I also dont see how anything would get "chewed to fk"

Where do people get all these strange ideas from ? All you need is a basic upgraded cover with perhaps a better organic friction plate.
it may be slightly heavier than standard, but I imagine standard is feather light.
