Audi multitronic

Hi.
I have a 2008 audi a4 2.0tdi multitronic (cvt)

Just wondering when i slide to the right manuel mode:
Does the car turn automatically to sport (s) mode?
And do i have take my foot off the gas peddle when i want to change gear? or can i just keep it flat down?

Cant comment on the sport mode.

But it's unlikely the car will let you do anything with the gearbox that it doesnt want you to do.

By moving the lever you are just telling the ecu you want to change gear. it will then change gear when it is ready to do so
