Looks very good for the money, I use some of their stuff at work day in day out and never had a problem with it.
I did used to buy £10 kits from the market to work on the car but you only need to skin your knuckles once when a socket splits in half to realise they're cheap for a reason.
£99 - well worth the money.

I've managed to spilt a deep snap-on socket though.
It is a great set, especially at that price but a couple of things to note.
All the sockets apart from a handful of 1/4" ones are 12 point, If you work on anything that may have rusty nuts and bolts then an extra set of 6 point 1/2" or 3/8" sockets in common sizes would be beneficial.
The ratchets are fine and chunky, however, a extra drop of thread lock on the screws which hold the mechanism back plate would be advisable as my 1/2" and 3/8" ratchets are both missing one now and I'm fairly sure it causes them to skip a tooth sometimes when really pulling on them, also there is something inherently wrong with the direction "switch" on the 1/2", it always works eventually but sometimes it just flies around like it isn't connected to much, I have seen 3 of them with this issue. A repair kit for the 1/2" is £5 though so not a big problem.
The plastic hinges on the box are garbage and WILL break sharpish, just be aware.
Apart from that, cracking kit, lots of useful bits and bobs, combine it with a set of their ratchet spanners and you're away!

Had the same set for years and despite plenty of abuse I've not broken anything, including the box itself.
The thin layer of sponge foam that sandwiches the sockets in place has partly disintegrated however, and is required to hold the smaller sockets in place. I get a nice tinkling sound when I pick the box up now as the small sockets fall to the bottom...

I have heard the warranty can be a little hit or miss and does not cover the ratchet mechanisms for example. They also now require you to produce the original receipt (I was asked when one of the ratchets in a new set had not been chromed correctly) which has been a change of policy since the introduction of the "Advanced" name. Note sure how many people would keep a receipt for a "lifetime"!

i have never had a problem when replacing a 1/4 drive ratchet that broke on me. Asked me for a recipt but has i had it as a christmas present coundldn't produce one, they just replaced the ratchet with a new one. The older Halfords Pro warranty was very much no-quibble, but I think they are a more strict now but it does appear to depend on the staff at your local branch.

Apart from that, seems alright for weekend jobs etc.
And for those of you arguing about warranty, cleary says underneath:
Proof of purchase is required to validate the Lifetime Guarantee.
Misuse of the product will immediately invalidate the Lifetime Guarantee.
Moving parts are not covered for wear and tear under this guarantee.
Discontinued items will be replaced with an equivalent product in terms of use and quality.
This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
