Hi Guys,
I posted the same question in the mini forum.
I`m interested to find out if any of you guys know anyone in the big names from any of the petrol industies.
The reason behind this is as a classic car owner (Well x 3 infact)I`m a little concerned as to the damage upping the percentage of Ethanol in our petrol will make to ALL Classic cars owners.

As i understand it,The goverment have informed the petrol industries to increase the amount of ETHANOL in their petrol to keep us inline with the eu...Pah.
After reading that the Ethanol not only up`s the Octain rating (Not a bad thing there then)..But,Also damages the rubber pipes, seals,Alloys,Tanks and the likes...If stood our classics will it says turn our petrol into acids ..(Well dont the majority of us lay our classic`s up for winter).I know for one I do...???

I did hear that SHELL are leaving their "V"-Power super unleaded @ 5% (E5) Instead of the planned 10% (E10)..I have written an spoke to shell about this but as yet not rec`d a reply.
And,I just wondered how you guy`s planned to overcome this problem..????..Thanks...Kev.

Imagine that...the EU coming up with another ridiculous idea.

They want people to use renewable energies etc...then they abandon E85 ( and the US has also just abandoned support for it too apparently )

Then they try and sneak in stupid proposals against the wishes of the oil companies, and motor industries because it will cause damage to vehicles.
Except the EU wont be paying to repair any damage !
