Our Passat Estate 1.9 TDi 130 manual has an annoying zizz from gearlever but only when accelerating thru gears. Hold the lever and it stops.
Any fixes that anybody knows about, or are we stuck with it?

There will be a small nylon washer or cup somewhere in the gearlever system that is worn
