Does anybody know roughly how much a gearbox specialist will charge to fit a LSD to FWD gearbox if I supply the diff, the bearings and the gearbox.

I was tempted to fit myself but I was going to buy a second hand gearbox to minimise off road time but the cost of a second hand box looks like it will rival paying someone to fit it for me.

Diff + labour + consumables + vat = cost

yes………I guess what I was trying to get to was how many hours and how much per hour as I can work out the rest. Are we talking a 3 hour job or a 10 hour job?

I realise that every car is different and the number of people who know much about the Hyundai is low, but I was hoping somebody might have had one done in a front wheel driver which I could at least use as a benchmark.

Every gearbox is different. But I certainly wouldnt expect it to be a 10 hour job, that's for sure.
It is possible it could be a 2-3 hour job
