Also need the pistons valve relief cut

Block mains/bores need checking aswell

I'm struggling to find any one that does this for a reasonable price!

Anyone know some similar a little closer to Loughborough? Are Graham Goode worth looking at or will I get better and cheaper service at a smaller shop?

Dont think GGR do that sort of thing ? They likely use Mountune for any engine work

Graham Goode used to have a balancer but I don't know what their experience with V8s is. I would look at Chesman Engineering in Coventry who have done work for an F1 engine builder in the past.

Mine's not a V8 it's a 4 pot.

Whilst I'm aware that cheap usually doesn't go hand in hand with quality, I'm also aware that it's possible that big names don't mean good service. I was wondering whether Graham Goode are actually any good or not. They definitely do dynamic balancing and there doesn't seem to be many options around the Leicester area...

I had some balancing work done in Leicester by a very well known mini tuner. I wasn't terribly happy with the result.

After that I got all my balancing work by Chesman Engineering in Coventry. It takes 30 minutes to get there from Leicester. They have genuine expertise and are well worth visiting. You don't get a fancy showroom but you get a very competent job.

Out of interest, what made you 'not terribly happy with the result'?

Not something you would easily suspect to be wrong or test for in your garage.

I'm intrigued....

Projects on hold due to work

Chesman wanted ALOT of money, almost as much as a brand new forged rotating kit from the states,

They did a very poor job of removing metal from the little end - removed it from the wrong place and it resulted in too low a section thickness.
