Hi
Does anyone know the Idle ignition timing and more importantly the 'all in' timing with and without vacuum? Better still what revs should it be 'all in'?

Have a sick engine which I have timed at 10 degree BTDC idle which goes out to 40 degrees at around 1800rpm (50 degrees with vacuum connected).

Many thanks in advance (pun intended)

no idea about max advance, but if its set to run on unleaded its 9degrees without vacuum at idle, and 12 if using super unleaded/fourstar biggrin

All in at 1,800 rpm that's early and a very steep advance curve, I would expect all in without vac to be 40 degrees at 3000 to 3600 or there abouts

Using 97 octane, 12 BTDC at 900 rpm +- 20 rpm vacuum disconnected and plugged. Plug gap 0.6 if Champion and 0.75 if Motorcraft

Using 95 octane, 6 BTDC
