VW TDI '02 Rusty Backbox Hangers- choices
Discussion
My wife's backbox rear-most hanger has rusted off.
The box itself appears fine.
What options would be suggested other than coathangers, etc.
Get garage to weld new hanger on old box (hanger is rusted to death) - I assume they can supply a new hanger. I called local indy- £35-40
Get new box- £100 delivered (backbox and centre section are one piece- doesnt look easy to get off/on)
But I think backbox and centre sections that are seperate are available.
Get new box fitted by indy.
Fabricate clamp/hanger - I looked through some available ones i've seen and due to locations of rubber hanger piece and exhaust box - this may be difficult.
Any ideas - best solutions please?
