Saw this today:

http://www.go-hho.co.uk/4.html

Convert your car to run on water, apparently.

Cant remember enough science to debunk it but can someone tell do so and reassure me that all the car manufacturers in the world have not missed a simple trick in their billions of investment?

It doesn't, that's true, but the proponents of so-called HHO claim that they're breaking water down into its' components of Hydrogen and Oxygen. Hydrogen, of course, burns, and Oxygen helps any combustion process.

What they always fail to explain is how they've managed to split the water molecues up using less energy than you get back by burning the Hydrogen subsequently produced. (Answer - you can't, it's contravening the laws of thermodynamics).

if you read the small print it says that the equipment is for experimentation only...that's how they get away with it.
