Anyone have any knolledge of these?
got one in (06) with a rather heavy knock from the B/H area when the clutch is pedal is down, not a rattle like a clutch plate spring broken but a knock, like the flywheel is loose it inreases with revs and then disapears after a second? changing the pressure on the cluthc peadl dose change the note a severaty of the knock but only makes the knock on the last inch or so of the pedal travell.
I've removed the gearbox and clutch and the flywheel is tight (solid FW), the clutch has some play in the center splined bit but no more than a used clutch has IME.
There is some endfloat on the crank though and if you tug on the flywheel you can create a knock very similar to the one heard with the clutch down.
Anyone know these engines? i cant find any similar problems on a google seach
