A new chip

Theres an upgrade available from the manufacturer of one of my cars - a new chip in the ECU.

Just a general question for those that know.....

If you re-chip an engine, is it then just a question of driving off?! Or is it more complex than that?

If it is from the car maker/dealer. The you drive in, hope they do everything correctly and then drive out.

Other than hope the dealership knows what they're doing you dont need to do anything. But car makers would try and make the process as simple as possible for them, so as not to screw it up
