I know these threee are based on the same shell but do they all share the same engine/gearbox/running gear?

Which one of the three would go for?

They all share the same mechanicals, I think made by Toyota

They are slight variations on the same car. Toyota mechanicals. Peugeot and Citroen differ in the lights and bonnet. The Aygo has a different bonnet and lights plus a different tailgate and rear three-quarter panels to suit.

The running gear is common, same 3 cylinder 1.0L engine, same gearbox, same suspension etc. The Citroen is the nicest looking one I think.

The toyota supposedly has the better interior, exterior looks are personal taste.

Everything else is pretty much the same.

I have a 57 plate C1 with a 1.4TD engine.
I believe these are quite rare. Worth a look.

Diesel is rare as the three pot petrol is so frugal and relatively lively. 1.4k C1 diesels and about 600 C1 VTR types. About 700 Toyota Diesels and No Peugeots, I believe.

Cracking little car.

Gutless little ecoboxes built to a tight budget. Avoid like the plague

For a city car they have a perfectly reasonable level of performance.

Negative.

I've driven many of each. The toyotas are always the most spartan and boring inside. The Pugs are generally the nicest inside.

Personally, for the cost I think there are many better (2nd hand) alternatives.

500 abarth is reasonable. A 3pot hair drier is not IMO.

You're comparing an £14k car to £8k car!

Utter rubbish. It's a cheap city car, it simply doesn't need to have sub 10 second 0-60 times. Why would you pay nearly double the price for something with way less economy and performance that won't be used most of the time, and which you'd probably be worried about leaving parked in the middle of a city?

There's another thread of clutch failure at 20k. With such poor durability they're not even cheap to run. This is pistonheads-surely performance is important?

I can see why a 17yr old girl or 70yr old woman would want one but they are no kind of transport for a grown man.

Not with aygo/c1/107 drivers as they usually drink in gay bars.

Performance is important where appropriate. This is a cheap city car, performance is not high on the list of priorities. Plenty of PHers have Fiat Pandas (the non 100HP version) and Smart cars and other small city cars. It's a tool for a job.

I can see why a bigot with obvious insecurities would say that, but they are ideal transport for anyone that wants a cheap city car, irrespective of age or sex. Yes they have had issues with clutches, but plenty of cars suffer from far worse problems.

You see them often in these bars then?
