Honda Civic 7th Gen (2003) scanner

[s5s]

Hi guys,

I just bought this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/D900-Universal-OBD2-EOBD...

I tried to connect it to a Honda civic. It started but it said it couldn't connect.

Does anyone know if I'm missing something obvious? What protocol does the 7th gen Civic use? I just turned the key to on but I also tried with the engine running - same result, couldn't connect

Thanks
