aircon pump LS3 engine

Im thinking of putting a universal air con kit on my tvr at some point... so before the LS engine goes in I was going to mount the aircon pump ready.

Are they ok to run without the pipes being connected and working until im ready??

As the clutch wont be energised, cant see it doing any harm.

A/C is normally driven off the rear belt position anyway on it's own.

brilliant thats good to know I wont connect the belt if its separate.

Make sure the inlet and outlet ports are properly blocked/sealed too. The pump won't like any FOD!
