MitsUbishi Grandis 2.4 petrol - smoking when cold

In true petrolhead spirit I have been the proud owner of the most uneconomical Mitsi ever made for the past seven years, this is the family car. A 2.4 auto Grandis 2007.
Thought I'd ask if anyone can advise me, when the car is started from cold and is in the first three or four miles of a trip it smokes like a b
h.
It is a pale blue smile and spits it out on acceleration, big plumes of the stuff.
As yet there appears to be no oily deposits in the exhaust pipe or dirt up the back of the rear bumper / door area.
When it's warm it settles down and operas normal. It is not condensation.
Anyone got any idea as to what It old be ? Up until now it has never let me down......
