Nissan Navarra engine swap

Hi just wondering if any one has any experience of fitting something better than the 2.5 turbo engine that always fails in a navarra?
I was thinking of trying to fit a sd33 from a old patrol would this go in with out any major problems?

I've heard of people fitting the 2.7 Terrano engine. Have a Google.

thanks heard of fitting the mk1 terrano 2.7td engine but can't find anything on sd33.

Which nav do you mean? The early D22 engines had major bottom end issues but the later D40 engine is much improved. I fitted a duplex cam chain kit to mine as a safeguard but that's much easier than a complete engine swap!
