White patches left on driveway?

Just bought a Volvo V50 D5 and noticed that after leaving the car overnight, there appears to be a small white patch left underneath each exhaust pipe on the tarmac.

Anyone know what could be the cause of this? Never noticed anything like it on any previous car.

Someone posted a picture explaining how a white patch might occur under the exhaust pipe. It involved a man getting friendly with the tail pipe... Mods removed it.
