Vauxhall Zafira Emissions Light

My wife's Zafira's emission warning light came on today. Apparently the car was juddering slightly and the light has come on. She took it to a garage (not my normal one) and they've diagnosed a failed coil pack. Does this sound right?
I've not seen the car or had a chance to read the codes with a generic reader so thought I'd check it out here. I've no reason to doubt the garage and their price for the coil pack seemed reasonable.


Car is a 2008 with a 1.6l petrol engine.

Very common issue, sounds right to me.

The last one was on my mates 1.8 2003 Zafira the coil pack was about £68 plus vat that was a Motoquipe item.
It takes 10 mins to change.

Thanks both. They've quoted £100 for the replacement plus fitting which like I said didn't seem outrageous. I've had to lend her my car for the day though.

For completeness they changed the coil pack over and all is well.
