Hi all, am new here but i was wondering if someone could tell me. My mondeo mk3 2.0 engine lost power, i have had it replaced to a v6 engine. Now do i have to change the 2.0 ECU for a v6 ECU also?

One would assume so as one has 4 cylinders and the other six, I suspect your 2.0L i4 ECU only has 4 x spark drivers and 4 x injector controllers

Do people really embark on engine conversions on modern cars without having the first clue about how the things work?
