Im trying to source a similar throttle pot that can be used for the 1990's Range Rover Lucas 14CUX ECU, as originals are becoming very scarce and very expensive. Its pretty simple- a 5k swing over 115'. I can modify the signal levels as needed if the swing /resistances are different- I just need something physically like this that's still available to modify- anyone come across anything physically like this on other main stream cars?

I'm near sure I recall an old Ford Escort/Sierra one being like that.

XR3i kinda thing, or early injection Sierra

Or

Motec offer the "blade" style ( image looks wrong though )

Long term, might just be as handy to source one you know works, same range etc...then make a small adaptor ?

Its the reverse of what you have but maybe you could utilise the shaft you have in it?
Cant remember the resistances on it sorry.

Quite a few advertise ETC8495 - for the 3.9. As a genuine part they're eyewateringly expensive but the Britpart ones are around £64 plus VAT:

There's also ETC6443 which is advertised for the 31D engine & the older ETC5598 for the 3.5EFi:

Looking at your pic the mounting spacing appears to be the same 32mm as the generic 5 kohm aftermarket mappable ecu potentiometer myself and everyone else used to use when I sold these things back in the day. Part number is Vishay 971-0002 or from RS components 319-310.

I could have sworn they were only a tenner each when I used to buy them but £40 now it seems. God knows why so expensive as there's bugger all to them.

You'd need to make up an 8mm D-shaft adaptor from a bit of scrap bar but that should be easy enough.

You mention possibly modifying a TPS.

Is this any use?
