so you added a K&N to add noise.
I'd be very surprised if it picked up any power.

before furtehr modding the engine, you need to think about your HP goal and you budget.
You could swap the egine for a 1.8l Turbo petrol.

You can add a turbo the size of an aircraft carrier and gain precisely zero power. You have a diesel, which runs excess air, and the power output of the engine is totally set by the fuel mass injected by the injectors. So, add a huge turbo, even if you could rev the engine enough to get above the boost threshold, and without modifying the injected fuel mass, it'll be to no advantage!

So, first job if you really want more power is a re-calibration of the engine management system and what you'll rapidly find is that you can run a high enough fuel rail pressure to get a higher injected mass.

Hey guys, I understand that you may laugh at this question because I'm modifying such a small/slow car but I love everything about this car other than it isn't that fast. It has standard 74BHP. I've added a K&N air filter which has boosted the power a little bit. I'm just wondering if I could get a bigger turbo, without damaging the engine? haha.

What's the biggest/ fastest turbo that I can add to my 1.2 TDi volkswagen polo?
I run a K&N on my TD but only cos i had it (same housing as the petrol i removed to fit the TD) and it's cheaper in the long run, gives exactly ZERO on a diesel, seriously buy a bigger engine, even if you can increase the fueling to keep up with the turbo the power will be coming later than now and the power band will be very short making it harder to drive in most road conditions and you'll soon find that great to drive engine is now crap to drive.

Only problem with the K&N and most aftermarket filters...

by comparison to OEM paper. They filter fk all.

a remap gets you to 99 bhp so either remap or change car, anything else would be pointless.

Get something with the vag 2l tdi much better starting base or even better a 3l tdi

It's all relative. Until you get into big v10s there's always a more powerful starting point available.

Remap to start will see decent gains then your into adding more fuel and air (turbo/injectors and supporting mods)

Any things possible as long as your pockets are deep enough
