I know it's probably been asked before but I was wondering the other day, does firing order affect power?

All other things ignored, so cam profile is the same, inlet length, valve size, crank design etc...

If you have 2 engines, both with different firing orders, will one make more power?

There's nothing inherent in a firing order that would create more or less power if you ignore the effects (or practicality) of pulse tuning etc.

Engine balance primarily defines the subset of usable firing orders for any given engine configuration i.e. 1-2-3-4 on a IL4 engine would produce significantly more vibration than 1-3-4-2 or 1-2-4-3.
