Porsche Cayenne, diff lock, locked in place cant get out of
Discussion
Hi ppl,
Post for my uncles problem with his 2004 Cayenne 4.5 litre petrol model.
The off road diff lock mode has been activated by someone looking at buying the car and its stayed in it and wont come out of it.
Gather because its never been used much, i know hes owned it 6 years and never activated whist hes owned it, its maybe seized in place ???
Anyhow just wondered if any body had any ideas about it ?
Thank you for any help/pointers.
Regards Mike

I've no idea if it will work on yours but engaging the centre difflock on older Land Rovers & driving on tarmac/solid surfaces can wind the transmission up. The cure is to reverse for a short distance - I've never needed to go back more that 20/25 yards on my RRC.
I suspect there may be something in your owners handbook but if all else fails you could give a dealer a call.
