Afternoon,

I need to start getting my XR2 race car sorted out so I can do some track days in it this year. I know the carbs (twin Weber 40's) need setting up and I want it done properly and on a rolling road.

I've googled it and found a few places but can anyone actually recommend somewhere?

Cheers,

Sammo

Not sure if Charlie (Vixpy on here) plays with carbs but: http://www.surreyrollingroad.co.uk/

Lots of PHers head there for power runs etc (including me).

Recommended biggrin

Couple of people have mentioned them but they don't actually do tuning. They only do power runs or rent the road out for other tuners to use.

I guess there probably aren't many Weber experts around, these days...

Dave Walker still plays with the odd Twin Carb, according to his articles in PPC.

Could you trailer the car up to Emerald in Suffolk (I think)?

He also ran an XR2 in the Stock Hatch series a good while back as well, I think.

I'm sure Peter Burgess on PH would do it...but he's not in or near Surrey

Not quite in surrey but close ish depending where you are! I have taken a few cars with carbs over the years to http://www.tracknroad.com and they have always been very good.

You need Tom Airey. Not quite Surrey but well worth the trip down into Hampshire.

Can't think of anyone better.
