Tigra running way rich - any suggstions

1.4, 07 reg Tigra with the Z14XEP engine.

Repeatedly throwing generic fault codes P0170 (fuel trim) and P0300/P0301/P0302 (missfire and missfire cyl 1 and cyl 2). EML is on and as you might expect its running like a bag 'o shyte with a snatchy throttle response and lumpy idle. Smells very rich with a haze of black smoke from the exhaust to confirm. Plugs all good and tan in colour.

Not much that helps on the Vauxhall forums elsewhere.

I suspect MAF temp sensing but anybody aware of common faults to consider before I give in and hand over some beer tokens to get it fixed?

Unplug the MAF and see how it runs.

What kit you using to read fault codes?

Autel Maxiscan - basic £20 one that'll read codes but wont display sensor outputs or voltages and wont go deep enough to diagnose.

Even if it did I've got no info to compare results with.

It could be if the air temp sensor has failed open circuit 'tho - that would give the same effect as unplugging it. I'll find the right terminals on the MAF and put a meter across them tomorrow to see.
