Renault Master 2.5 Diesel cutting out

I have looked at various websites and have seen some similar questions asked but they then turn out to be a different issue and I just don't seem to be able found one the same as mine so here goes.

Now I have also posted this on the Renault owners forum and did get some advice which I am in the process of following but hey always happy to get a second opinion.

My 2.5 diesel master was parked up last August and was running fine till that point, I did very little with it other than the occasional start so decided to take it for a run but after about a mile and a half the van cuts out as if it had run out of fuel, it hasn't as there is plenty in the tank, eventually got it home and it has done it again twice. Now it seems to be that when the engine is up to temp is when this happens, let it cool down it will start but as soon as temp rises cuts out again.

I have bought a new Crank sensor and will be fitting this as a just in case but what else should I be looking for ?
