Mercedes A140 (W168) Clutch Slave Cylinder?
Discussion
I require a replacment clutch slave cylinder forthis vehicle but have had conflicting opinions, where one garage said the slave comes as a kit and the gearbox needs to come out (7+ hours labour) and fit new clutch and kit in one. Another said it is a model where that is not required.
Its a 2002 A140 I belive a W168 model.
Does anyone know which is the case?

Internal slaves are very common these days, but it would depend on your specific engine/box.
So yes it is highly likely the box needs to come out to change it. Of course you could buy one separately but when going to that amount of work it usually makes sense to change the clutch too....and possibly the dual mass flywheel as well if fitted.
It can get very expensive. Although if it is low miles and all seems well with those other parts you could just leave them
