97 E39 520 missfire and stalling

Bmw520 1997 missfire and stalling cam sencsor and crank sensor changed slight blow on exhaust but wolld this cause a really bad missfire and stall iv'e heard about oxygen sensors and lamda sensors dont know where these are but could these be the cause it has superb body but at the time im fed up and it may go to the scrapper if i cant find a solution

Is the misfire associated with specific cylinders?

I wouldn't expect an exhaust leak or EGO sensor failure to cause misfires but it could make any other problems worse. It might be as simple as an ignition or injector problem. What state are the plugs in?

Compession checked coils checked seviced last july oil still pink so no engine problems i think you are thinking the same i am exhast prblems do you think cat could causing problem
