Hi all I have a 1992 Mk2f polo that I am doing a engine conversion from a 1.0 spi to a 1.3 mpi.i have the complete loom and Ecu for engine. I have connected all the wiring loom except one 6 pin plug and one 3 pin plug from distributor. The Haynes manual says it goes to the Ecu but I can’t find anywhere for it to go. Does anybody know what I should do.
Cheers

If you have taken the loom and ECU that came with the new engine, I don't understand how you can end up with unknown sensor connections.

If that isn't what you've done, then perhaps that would work better.

Are you by any chance missing an ignition control unit, see bottom right of image, this is an example image

It runs from the hall sensor on the distributor and a coolant sensor (black) to a 6 pin black plug and a 3 pin plug which I think is the (black)a test plug
Thanks

That's a control unit / amplifier plug very similar to what I've posted above

Thanks for your help everyone, I fitted a new ignition coil as only had a 3 pin one. I managed to crank it over but the injectors are over filling the chamber with fuel.so I took the fuel rail out and disconnected the wires. Turn on the ignition and all injectors are holding fuel pressure. Any help thanks

Are you sure it's actually over fueling, and not just flooded due to being cranked over while you tried to start it?

I think so as had the injectors out and all wired up. I turned the ignition on and as soon as fuel pump came on the injectors all sprayed constantly till fuel pump went off again. So I i changed the fuel pump relay but is still doing the same thing thanks

Mismatch of parts or

1) You have incorrectly wired it

2) There is a short cicuit at the engine loom

3) The ECU is faulty
