Vauxhall Corsa Engine Management Light flashing

Hi,

I hope someone can help! I have a 2012/2013 Vauxhall Corsa energy, the engine management light has been flashing when the car has slowed down and started to speed up again along with it chugging. The started off as a one off thing every now and then but Yesterday it seems to have got a lot worse with the light flashing for a longer period of time, doesn’t feel as powerful (not that it was anyway) and feels like the engine is making the car shake and just generally doesn’t sound too good!

Does anyone have any idea of what might be wrong with it?

Sounds like it's misfiring. Probably coil pack or spark plugs.

As above, sou ds like a misfire, possibly due to a faulty coilpack or plug.

However, you need to get the car scanned with a fault code reader to confirm the actual cause.

With what you’ve said could possibly be wrong would i be able to drive roughly 30miles to get home and to a garage?

Try doing the pedal test to find the error code, then look up the code to get an idea of the problem. Easy to do and takes all of 5 minutes.
